We furnished this stately two-story home in Colonial Heights, Palos, for a family drawn to legacy, character, and timeless aesthetic. Their design objective was to bring unity and fresh life to the first floor without erasing the warmth of inherited pieces. The finished style is anchored in traditional detail, with crisp white trim, historical Benjamin Moore-based hues, architectural moldings, and hardware in bronze and nickel. Signature features include thoughtfully tailored window treatments, gentle layering of textures and patterns, and curated art and ceramics that echo the home’s generational roots.

Our services included space planning, color consultation, furniture integration, lighting updates, and styling oversight. A notable challenge emerged in balancing the distinct personality of each room—formal living, library, dining—while maintaining coherence. We used repeating trim heights, subtle color echoes, and rhythmic furniture alignment to tie rooms together without forcing uniformity. The result is a home that feels both personal and composed, where historic sensibility and modern ease coexist.
