Westgate Valley

Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by trees, we designed this ranch home in Westgate Valley for a newly retired couple who’d recently downsized. Their goal was to modernize without expanding the footprint, creating a space that supported their family-centered lifestyle and gatherings with children, grandchildren, and dogs. The resulting design blends modern, traditional, and transitional styles, with a fun, joyful palette that layers greens and blues over warm neutrals. We carefully selected every finish, furnishing, and fixture for comfort and longevity, featuring family-friendly textiles, durable materials, and soft, light-reflective hues that feel fresh yet timeless.

To maximize functionality, we doubled the usable square footage by finishing the lower level with a wine cellar, gym, bar, and game area. The biggest challenge came from the home’s angled walls, which called for creative space-planning to balance the flow and feel. In the great room, for instance, we paired smaller upholstery pieces with movable poufs for flexible seating during large family visits.
